White-Lipped Pythons

White-Lipped Pythons

The iridescence of these snakes is AMAZING.  Mindy had seen an article on this species in Reptiles Magazine and wanted them, and as soon as Dustin laid eyes on one in person he was all for it.  Like the Rainbow Boa, these are ground snakes that have tiny groves on their scales to help keep off water that act as prisms to give then that rainbow look.  Dustin says that that WLP have more of the blue end of the color spectrum whereas Rainbow Boas tend towards the red end.  As beautiful as they are, this species is not for the faint of heart.  They are quite aggressive, inside and outside of the cage.  Without a question this is our most aggressive species, but that’s why Mindy likes them so much.  Our breeding stock for this species will stay fairly small as there are limited variation and lower demand.
